Ethel Farrington Smith, in her Book Adam Hawkes of Saugus, Massachusetts, 1980: Gateway Press, Baltimore, MD describes the wives and children of Adam HAWKES as follows:
FIRST GENERATION
1. Adam HAWKES was christened on 26 Jan 1605 in St. Andrews Chur, Hingham, Norfolk, England. He was born about 26 Jan 1605 in Hingham, Norfolk, England.1 He Landed in 1630 in Charlestown, Massachuttes. Passenger on the Winthrop Fleet He died on 13 Mar 1672 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.2
He was married to Ann Brown HUTCHINSON the daughter of Edward and Jane Lide BROWN about 1631 in Charleston, MA.3 Ann (Marbury) HUTCHINSON was born in 1591 in Lincolnshire, England.4 She Landed in 1630 in Charlestown, Massachuttes. Passenger on the Winthrop Fleet She died on 4 Oct 1669 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.5 Other indication are that Ann was the daughter of Francis MARBURY and Bridget DFRYDEN. (daughter of Rev. Francis MARBURY and Briget DFRYDEN). In either case.
Adam HAWKES and Ann HUTCHINSON had the following children:

These names are listed in the Lynn Vital Records as "before 1660" - that record was taken from Lewis and Newhall's "History of Lynn" which was later questioned. At any rrate there is no further record whatsoever of any of these children if they did exist. It isthought that Newhall confused them with grandchildren.
He was married to Sarah HOOPER in Jun 1670 in Lynn, Essex County, MA. Adam HAWKES and Sarah HOOPER had the following children:

SECOND GENERATION
2. Susanna HAWKES was born on 13 Aug 1633 in Charlestown, Massachuttes. She died in Aug 1696 in Ipswich, New London, Massachusetts.
She was married to William COGSWELL (son of John COGSWELL and Elizabeth THOMPSON) in 1649/50 in Lynn, Essex County, MA. William COGSWELL was born on 6 Mar 1619 in Westbury Leigh, Wilts, England. He was christened on 6 Mar 1619 in Westbury Leigh, Wiltshire, England. He died on 15 Dec 1700 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA. He was buried on 17 Dec 1700. In his will dated 5 Aug 1696 states his wife as deceased, and mentions his four sons and four daughters. Susanna HAWKES and William COGSWELL had the following children:
5 i. Elizabeth COGSWELL was born in 1650 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA. She died on 28 Dec 1726 or 3 Jan 1727 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA.

11 vii. William Jr. COGSWELL was born on 4 Dec 1659 in , Chebacco, Ipswich, Massachusetts. He died on 14 Apr 1708 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA. 12 viii. Jonathan COGSWELL was born on 26 Apr 1661 in Chebacco, Ipswich, Mass.
He died on 14 Jul 1717 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA.

14 x. Adam COGSWELL was born on 12 Jan 1667 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA. He died on 8 Feb 1749.
15 xi. Sarah COGSWELL was born on 3 Feb 1668 in Chebacco, Ipswich, Essex, MA. 16 xii. Edmund COGSWELL was born about 1670 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA. He died on 15 May 1680 in Ipswich, Essex County, MA.
3. John HAWKES was born on 13 Aug 1633 in Charleston, MA.6 He died on 5 Aug 1694 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.7 was twin to Susannah per MAYFLOWER INCREASINGS by Susan Roser. The administration of the estate of John Hawkes of Lynn was granted to sons John and Thomas on 3 Dec/ 1694. On 4 Sep. 1694 the estate was settled between the widow Sarah (Cushman) and sons John, Thomas, Ebenezer; Son Moses Hawkes land is what grandfather Adam Hawkes willed him; daughter Mercy Hawkes. Elizabeth Hawkes (widow of Adam) signed for her son John.
He was married to Sarah CUSHMAN (daughter of Elder Thomas CUSHMAN and Mary ALLERTON) on 11 Nov 1661 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.8 Sarah CUSHMAN9,10,11 was born about 1641 in Plymouth, MA.12 She died after 3 Dec 1695.13 Judy Goldbaum's data has a marriage date of 11 Apr 1661 with spouses of Daniel Hutchings and John Hawks. Isaac Allerton booklet indicates she m. (1) John Hawkes at Lynn, MA, on 11 Apr 1661; m. (2) Daniel Hutchins at Lynn, MA, on 7 Nov 1695. She and Hawkes had 8 children.per MAYFLOWER INCREASINGS by Susan Roser John HAWKES and Sarah CUSHMAN had the following children:
17 i. Susanna HAWKES was born on 20 Nov 1662 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.14 She died in Nov 1675 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.15 Susannh died of Scarlet Fever.

Rebecca HAWKES was born on 18 Nov 1670 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.18 She died in Nov 1675 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.19 Rebecca died of Scarlet Fever.
22 vi. Thomas HAWKES was born on 18 May 1673 in Lynn, Essex County, MA. +23 vii. Mercy HAWKES.

He was married to Rebecca MAVERICK (daughter of Moses MAVERICK and Remember ALLERTON) on 3 Jun 1658 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.20 Rebecca MAVERICK21 was christened on 7 Aug 1639 in Marblehead, MA.22 She died on 4 Nov 1669 in Lynn, Essex County, MA.22 per MAYFLOWER INCREASINGS by Susan Roser John HAWKES and Rebecca MAVERICK had the following children:
