[5740] Got to meet my grandfather's first cousin, a young lady of 105 years. Born and raised in Anderson County and never left. She talked about her grandmother - Elizabeth Monroe, wife of Peris Paul and sister-in-law of your Olive Paul. It was amazing to hear her talk to me about my great-great-great-grandmother as if she was in the room. This cousin lived to 108. She told me Elizabeth Monroe always wore plain long black dress and would visit her grandchildren everyday by wading barefoot across the creek that separated their property. Peris Augustus Paul and Elizabeth Monroe are buried in the Canton (or Judy) Cemetery northeast of Garnett, Kansas.
