[4153] Ebenezer Speakman (1758 - 1827) married Elizabeth Cox (1755 - 1835) in York County, PA and 8 children in what is now Adams County. Ebenezer moved his family to Bedford County, Virginia for a few years and then to Ross County, Ohio. I understand that the original log house is still standing in the Pike Run area of Ross County. Many of the early Speakmans are buried in the Pike Run Cemetery.

Ebenezer and Elizabeth had 8 children. I know only the names of Joshua's children.

[3947] The youngest son, Joshua Speakman (1731 - 1801) married Ann Miller and had 8 children: Hannah, Susannah, Ebenezer, James, Joanna, Thomas, Stephen and Phebe.
In 1755 Joshua moved his family (only had Hannah at that time) to York County, PA. Later, that portion of York County later became Adams County (Gettysburg area).

Ebenezer Speakman (1758 - 1827) married Elizabeth Cox (1755 - 1835) in York County, PA and 8 children in what is now Adams County. Ebenezer moved his family to Bedford County, Virginia for a few years and then to Ross County, Ohio. I understand that the original log house is still standing in the Pike Run area of Ross County. Jesse Speakman, born in 1784 married Sally Smith in Bedford County, VA and remained in Virginia when his parents moved on to Ohio. He died in 1855. I do not know their children.

Joshua Speakman, born Jan 20, 1787 in York, PA, married Mary Wyckoff in Ross County, Ohio in 1812. He died 4/25/1866 in Vinton County, Ohio.

Ann Speakman married John Williams in 1816 in Ross County, Ohio. ???///

Thomas Speakman married Elizabeth Dykes in 1828 in Ross County.

Stephen married Mary Throckmorton in 1841 in Ross County, Ohio.

Ebenezer Speakman born October 2, 1798 died 3/31/1864 married Patty Morrison and second wife Mary Wilkinson

Jacob Speakman married Mary Jouston

Phebe Speakman married Peter Van Gundy.

Joshua Speaman ( 1767 - 1866) and Mary Wyckoff (1789 - 1860) settled in Vinton County, Ohio and also had 8 children.
Samuel born 9/10/1813 married Arena Clark. Died 3/12/1867.
Stephen born 1815 married elizabeth Throckmorton and died in 1861
Elizabeth married William Cutright
Ebenezer born 4/18/1820 married margaret Strawser and died 3/31/1864.
William born 1823 married Ruann hines
Susannah born 7/8/1825 married John Strawser and died 5/1/1856
Joshua J. born 9/29/1832 married Fanny White and later Mary Jane Raney.
Mary A born 3/3/1835 died 9/17/1853.

My great grandfarther, Joshua J Speakman had a lot of children. I won't bore you with all of the details. He and Fanny White had: Samantha J, Samuel V.,
Simon E (my grandfather), Sarah Louise, William David, Elizabeth Evaline, and Albert N.

Joshua with his second wife, Matilda Jan Ramey had: Evelyn, Infant, Cora Bell, Mary Amanda, Calvin Luither, George R. Infant son, Grace may, Harley Arthur, Roy Clyde, John Mark, Harry Cecil, Etta Ruth, Effie Anize, and Lottie.
