last king of Judah (c.597-586 B.C.). He was set on the throne as the puppet of NEBUCHADNEZZAR, but he allied himself with the Egyptians. The Babylonians then destroyed the kingdom of Judah and carried Zedekiah with his people into captivity in Babylonia.
